DAY 1 Thattekad

We will pick you up early in the morning from Fort Kochi and surprise you with a visit northeast to a hamlet called ‘Cherukunnam’. This quaint village is crisscrossed with canals, surrounded by lush green paddy fields, coconut trees, and serene villages. Cycling along canal bund roads, we will lead you through this picturesque landscape to the Edamalayar forests and the renowned Thattekad Bird Sanctuary, known for its rich avian diversity. Here, the birds, fresh air, and tranquil breeze will rejuvenate your body and mind.

DAY 2 Munnar

Today, your tour begins just outside old Munnar after enjoying a refreshing cup of the area’s famous tea. As you venture into Munnar, you will immediately understand why we speak so highly of it—it’s a landscape painted in countless shades of green. From small rivulets to gentle drizzles, from strong winds to mist-covered hills, and the backdrop of the highest peak in South India, your day will be filled with these natural wonders. We will pass by the Mattupetty dam, renowned for its “Neelakurinji” flowers that bloom once every 12 years (next show expected in 2018), and you may spot the rare Nilgiri Tahr mountain goats.

DAY 3 Suryanelli

After breakfast, we will begin cycling towards Lock Heart Gap to experience the breathtaking Bison Valley viewpoint. Enjoy a scenic downhill ride all the way to your camp at Suryanelli, situated atop a hill. Along the way, we will pass through Chinnakanal, where you can take a break from cycling to interact with the cheerful tea pickers of Munnar and capture some memorable photographs. In the evening, take time to marvel at the stars and indulge in the delicious food offered at the camp. Note that the campsite can get chilly at night, so please remember to carry essentials like sweaters and gloves.

DAY 4 Drop to Cochin

After a hot cup of tea and a leisurely breakfast, you will embark on your final ride through the countryside. Cycling along lesser-traveled routes away from the tourist circuit, this experience promises to be unforgettable. Your journey concludes with a lunch featuring the finest fruits sourced from Munnar's local market. A cab will then transfer you back to the plains of Kochi, marking the end of your exhilarating cycling holiday through rural India.
