DAYS 1-2 Fort Kochi

A one-hour transfer from the airport takes you to Fort Kochi. Spend the rest of the day resting, overcoming jet lag, and preparing for your multi active holidays in the coming days. Cochin is the cosmopolitan center of Kerala. Your boutique hotel is one of the few in the colonial and heritage town of Fort Kochi. Some of the best spots in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry (the more historical hub) include the Dutch Palace, the Jewish Synagogue, St. Francis’ Church, the Dutch Cemetery, the Chinese Fishing Nets, Santa Cruz Cathedral, and more. The old-world charm, infused with numerous spice markets, antique shops, and art galleries, will amaze you.

DAY 3 Thattekad

Leaving Fort Kochi early, we head northeast to a charming hamlet called Cherukunnam. This village is crisscrossed by canals in all directions. We start bike tour along these canal bund roads, surrounded by lush green paddy fields, numerous coconut palms, and tranquil villages, leading us to the Idamalayar forests. The Idamalayar forests and the Thattekad Bird Sanctuary are renowned for their diverse bird species. The birds, fresh air, and gentle breeze will invigorate your body and mind. End your day with kayaking tour on the longest river in Kerala, followed by a plantation walk.

DAY 4 Munnar

After an early breakfast, we set off biking tour along the Periyar riverbank and through the dense low-altitude forests of Neriyamangalam towards Munnar, a hill town renowned for its extensive tea plantations. The view is stunning as we climb up to this cool and scenic hill station. Along the way, we pass rubber estates, pepper estates, cardamom estates, and finally tea plantations. Munnar, set amidst dramatic mountain scenery and some of the world’s highest tea plantations, was the favorite summer destination of the British.

DAY 5 Rodo Valley

After an early breakfast, we leave the inn and drive you closer to Silent Valley, the starting point of our trekking in Munnar. Our first day of trekking takes us to Meesapulimala, the second highest peak in the Western Ghats at 2,640 meters. We start the trek from an altitude of 1,500 meters, gradually ascending to over 2,600 meters, passing through shola forests and grasslands typical of the higher areas of the Western Ghats. The region is also known for its wildlife, including elephants, sambar, sloth bears, and the Nilgiri tahr. We pause at the summit of Meesapulimala to enjoy the panoramic views. We then trek down to Rhodo Valley for an overnight stay.

DAY 6 Yellapatty & Munnar

Experience the spectacular sunrise from Rhodo Valley, accompanied by the cool mountain breeze. The Valley of Rhododendrons, nestled between the Shola forests, offers a heavenly experience. After breakfast, we will start the trek from the mansion and head further into the woods towards Yellappetty. Walking through the Shola forests and grasslands, you will encounter many breathtaking views of the Western Ghats.

DAY 7 Periyar

We resume our cycling tour along wonderful mountain roads towards the renowned Periyar Tiger Reserve. Periyar is one of the best-managed wildlife reserves in India and is home to large herds of Asiatic elephants, Indian bison, and tigers. Today's ride promises to be one of the most exciting. The terrain is undulating, with a couple of challenging climbs to conquer. We will pass through forests, cardamom estates, and spice gardens before reaching Periyar.

DAY 8 Vagamon

An absolutely stunning day awaits, providing a fantastic highlight of the trip. From Periyar, we will head to Vagamon – a tranquil town known for its scenic valleys, lush green meadows, enchanting pine forests, mists, fogs, tea estates, and waterfalls, all set against striking greenery. The route offers perfect mountain biking terrain in Kerala with breathtaking views, including small spice-growing hamlets dotting the landscape and undulating roads through tea estates and forests. Your destination is a resort nestled amidst the tea estates, providing a quiet retreat after a beautiful day of cycling in Kerala.

DAY 9 Alleppey

Finally, we head all the way down to the plains. We will cycle downhill through the rubber estates all the way to Erattupetta. After a short tea break, we will continue biking towards the backwater destination of Alleppey. You'll cycle past paddy fields grazed by ducks, floating markets, toddy shops, temples, and churches. Enjoy an overnight stay at a backwater hotel.

DAY 10 Nedumudi

Today, we begin our kayaking adventure through the backwater villages. You'll paddle through the backwaters, navigating the inlets and soaking in the tranquility and calm of the rustic surroundings. The close interaction with the locals and their daily lives will fascinate you. As the day draws to a close, you'll stay in a cozy hotel on an island nestled amidst the beautiful backwaters.

DAY 11 Muhamma

Today, you'll begin your day with a traditional breakfast served. As you glide along the waterways, you'll appreciate why this region attracts numerous tourists each season. After lunch in the afternoon, you will be escorted to a beautiful resort where you can unwind and relax.
