Day 1: Jaipur
Arrive at Delhi & transfer to Jaipur – the capital of Rajasthan and known for its radiance and vibrant colours. It’s also called the Pink City and has many a historical forte visit. In Jaipur on one one hand you can see bicycles, rickshaws, motorcycles, and tempos and on the other vegetable laden camel carts move along the crowded lanes creating contrasting images of India.

Day 2: Jaipur
We begin the day by visiting the famous Amer Fort which combines both Muslim and Hindu architecture. After visits to the fort, you will visit Jantar Mantar and the Jaipur markets that showcases the vibrancy of Rajasthan. Walk in the lanes and bazaars of old Jaipur to see artisan shops, temples and traditional houses. if time permits also visit the Hawa Mahal – the most prominent and distinctive of Jaipur’s landmarks.

Day 3: Kishan Garh
After breakfast, we will transfer you to the outskirts of the city from where cycling will begin. We will be staying at Phool Mahal Palace tonight at an ancient 200 year old castle which has been converted to a Heritage Resort. The food and the experience is truly royal. At Kishan Garh you can visit the Gundalao Lake as well as the village of Kishangarh in Ajmer.

Day 4: Pushkar
This day we will start our cycling tour to Pushkar. The town of Pushkar is known for its mix of Muslim architecture and Rajput building which makes it different from the rest of the places you see. The ride today takes you on back roads which wind through interesting small villages to reach Pushkar. We also go on a sunset walk around the sacred lake, optional climb up to a hilltop temple, cycle to discover wayside shrines and holy places, or explore rose farms by camel cart.

Day 5: Khejarla
On day 5 we biking towards Khejarla near Jodhpur. The highlight is of course cycling past the rural setting which is mostly villages. our destination is another highlight where you will stay over at the 400-year-old, Fort Khejarla offeringyou an enlivening experience. The stunning red sandstone monument is a mesmerizing example of the architecture of the Rajputs. The rugged exterior contradicts an inner paradise with a striking blend of art and architecture leaving one with a magnificent aura! The spellbound grandeur of the Fort offers picturesque settings, latticework friezes, and intricate Jharokas that at once transports you back in time to experience the majesty of a long-gone era of valour and chivalry.The historic structure amalgamates with the golden tint of the desert ambience and the scenic setting suns in its most vibrant shades giving it a fairy tale appearance. Day 6&7: Jodhpur
We start cycling today on flat roads in the rural country-side and transfer a short distance to a hotel in the city of Jodhpur. Jodhpur is famous for its rich history. It is also referred to as the Blue City and “Sun City”. Blue City is derived due to the blue tinge to the whitewashed houses around the Mehrangarh Fort. It is known as the “Sun City” for the bright, sunny weather it enjoys all the year round. Other notable places of interest are the Umaid Bhawan Palace which a portion currently serves as the residence of the current Maharaja Gaj Singh’s family and the remaining portion is a 5 star hotel under the Taj Group of Hotels.Later in the day visit the crafts village and go on a camel ride in the That Desert as well as witness rural Rajasthani culture and local life-styles.

Day 8: Jalore
We transfer from the city of Jodhpur for a short distance before getting back on our bikes. Our cycling is flat and easy passing numerous mustard fields. We head to Bhenswara village in Jalore to experience a cultural & rustic Rajasthani village. The experience at the Ravla goes well beyond just staying in a hotel in Rajasthan, you are treated as a family friend by your hosts. Guests are greeted with teeka and moli (tie n die threads) and while departing, a small token of good omen for the journey ahead – jaggery(gur) and a thread of good luck(kakandora) is tied. Your host Mr Shivpratap Singh and his family lives in the same Ravla and are more than happy to entertain and swap tales with guests. Theygo lengths to keep the cultural heritage of their family alive and offer for guests a traditional cooking class as well as dressing up the Indian way in dhoti or saree.

Day 9: Ranakpur
Ranakpur is a village located in the Pali district of Rajasthan which is located between Jodhpur and Udaipurin a valley on the western side of the Aravalli Range. Ranakpur is one among the most famous places to visit in Pali, Rajasthan not only because of its large population of monkeys that live in and around the place but also its marble Jain temple, said to be the most spectacular of the Jain temples in India. There is also a small Sun temple which is managed by the Udaipur royal family trust. The route stretches past vast fields of mustard. The terrain is flat and easy as well.

Day 10: Kumbalgarh
Today you will bike past mustard fields before climbing up the hills of the Aravallis from 500 ~ 1300 m to stop-over in the town of Kumbalgarh. Kumbalgarh is a prominent spot for the Wild Life Sanctuary and the Kumbalgargh Fort (UNESCO Heritage Site) built in the early fifteenth century with walls that wind 36 Kms along and across hills and valleys of the Aravalli mountain range. This wall is second in list of the longest walls after the The Great Wall of China. In the evening you will go on a safari in the wild-life park which is home to many endangered species of wild-life including the wolf, leopards, sloth bear, hyena, jackal, jungle cat, sambhar, nilgai, chausingha (the four horned antelope), chinkara and hare. In fact, Kumbhalgarh is the only sanctuary in Rajasthanwhere you can trace wolf engaged in its activities. The list of birds in the park include peacocks and doves as well as birds like red spur owls, parakeets, golden oriole, bulbul, dove, grey pigeons and white breasted kingfishers.

Day 11&12: Udaipur
On Day 11, you will bike through the dry deciduous forests of the Aravalli Mountain range and transfer the last stretch to the Pink City of Udaipur where you will witness Rajasthani Folk dance and cultural shows before resting for the night at the Hotel Udai Kothy.
Next day you will be guided to the city’s highlights including the famous Udaipur City Palace as well as the local markets before visiting the Jagadish temple. The Jagdish temple in Udaipur city is an imposing structure and one that was built in late 17th century. It is an important attraction for its unique architecture & structural highlights. The City Palace at Udaipur was built over a period of 400 years and the complex consists of various smaller palaces atop a hillock. The Palace is considered the largest amongst the many palaces in the entire state of Rajasthan.

What kind of fitness level do I need to enjoy a trip ?
A minimum fitness level is required for our Casual and Premium Bicycle trips. In the case of a Shared or Group tour please make sure you have good fitness levels to bike long distance and keep pace with the rest of the group. Day tours require basic biking skills. The concept of traveling on a bi-cycle is to take in the aromas and to see a real world. Join us to experience a real India.
Accommodation / Meals
The properties that we have suggested in the itinerary are standard and premium properties we use and include heritage hotels, Eco-lodges and Plantation Retreats. Indian food is mainly vegetarian and spicy but not hot curry. A typical meal consists of rice, Chappathy, fish, and vegetables. There is an abundance of fresh fruit and fish. Mineral water is widely available and carried on the support vehicle.
Do I have to carry any biking gear ?
All that you need to carry is your camera, tissues, sun-screen and gloves. The leaders transport your luggage between hotels. They’ll also gladly pick up and transport any purchases you make along the way. Necessary accessories will be provided on tour.
Is it safe to ride in India ?
Routes we take you on are routes we’ve biked ourselves over and over again. Activities we’ve planned on these trips are activities we love and those you’d love too. Our routes are safe ! Most often using those through village and back-roads with minimum or zero traffic. India is a safe place and with us you can expect to be a 100% safe and secure. This is our guarantee.
Riding Flexibility ?
We will also be having a back-up vehicle accompanying through-out the tour and therefore, the cycling distance mentioned in the itinerary can be made flexible depending on your interest and fitness level.
Our Bikes / Equipment
Our bikes are fitted with standard flat pedals. If you would like to bring your own pedals, clips and saddle and fit them to our bikes you are welcome to do so. We recommend you wear a helmet on the tour we do not hire helmets so please bring your helmet. We will be taking care of all the bike spares.
Travel Insurance
It is a condition of joining our trips that you must be adequately insured. Polices should cover potential risks involved in a mountain cycling holiday. We ask for details of your policy to be provided prior to travel. We recommend that you arrange your travel insurance at the same time as booking your holiday so that you are covered in the event of cancellation.
Vaccinations
There are no compulsory vaccinations for foreign visitors but we strongly recommended that you should contact your doctor at least 3 months prior to travel to obtain these vaccinations and the latest advice to travelers. Expert advice on medication should be sought.
First Aid
Our guides carry a medical kit. We recommend that you bring your own first aid supplies including: a broad spectrum anti-biotic, antiseptic cream, throat lozenges, a cold medication, diarrhea treatment, pain killers, plasters, insect repellent and re-hydration salts.
Tips for Local Guides and Drivers
Tipping is an accepted part of everyday life, and although it is always at your discretion, you will be expected to tip to reward service. £25 for the guide and team at the end of the tour is recommended.
Personal Expenses
Spending money depends on your taste for souvenirs, drinks etc. We estimate that £200 will be more than enough to cover the 14-day tour.
Can I have my own room ?
Our prices are based on double occupancy (two people per room). We will endeavor to find a roommate for those guests who wish to share a room. Please write to us at [email protected] for single occupancy rates.
Do you provide bikes for children ?
We provide bikes for children of all ages. With routes that are safe, bikes of apt size and guides as caring and loving, you couldn’t ask for a more personalized tour.

Can I bring my own bike ?
Of course you could get your own bike. Please make sure to bring along necessary tools and spares as we do not guarantee availability of spares for personal bikes.
