Day 5. Wakro
For most part of the day you will be cycling through a narrow forest road skirting the Namdapha National Park and the Kamlang Wildlife Sanctuary. The road conditions here is not too great with little used single lane roads which are in disrepair coupled with a couple of dry riverbed crossings (can become torrents during the rains). The seclusion of the forest roadwith a splattering of few Miju Mishmi and Chakma Villages enroute can be a wonderful opportunity to spot birdlife for the ones with keen eyes. Our destination today is the township of Wakro.Wakro (“where the bamboo grows”) is a small township known for its orange orchards and the neighbouring pilgrimage site ParshuramKund.
Accommodation: Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Activity Distance: Cycling 50KMs

Day 6. Tezu
A beautiful day of riding takes us from Wakro to the township of Tezu lying at the North bank of the Lohit River. The first 50kms can be called as undulating with a 15km long 700mts climb towards Hawa Pass. This section has beautiful views all around as we will mostly be along the turquoise blue LohitRiver, crossing it at the famous ParshuramKund( A Pilgrimage site ). Today we have crossed over from the Miju Mishmi areas to the Digaru Mishmi territory.

Day 7. Roing
The destination for this day is Roing which lies about 65km north of here.Roing is the headquarters of the Lower Dibang Valley district of Arunachal Pradesh. A small town nestled at the foothills of the easternmost end of the Himalayas. This is a land of dense forested hills spanning all the way to China on the North and east, whereas the mighty Brahmaputra valley and its main tributaries lie to your west. This is the land of the Idu Mishmi people, a tribe spread between this end of Arunachal and across the border in south western China. The Idu are generally animist and revere nature and speak a tongue which is listed among the endangered languages list.
Accommodation: Lodge
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Activity Distance: Cycling 70KMs

Day 8. Kilo
The short day distance is amply made up by a 1600mt climb to our campsite for the day. Once we get out of Roing we climb relentlessly further into the folds of the Eastern Himalayas. The vertical altitude of about 1600mts is gained in 40kms.From today ‘Mithun Gates’ will become common features. These gates are built on the road by the tribesmen to keep the ‘Mithuns’ which are domesticated Bisons from straying across their territory.
Accommodation: Camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Activity Distance: Cycling 40KMs

Day 9. Ithun River
Generally a relaxed day in comparison to the previous. The day starts with a steady climb towards the Mayodia Pass, which is one of the easternmost drivable passes of the Himalayas. Although just 9000ft in altitude one can expect the top to have a fair amount of snow during this season. An altitude of about 750mts is gained in the first 17kms, following which the entire route to Hunli is generally downhill.
Accommodation: Camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Activity Distance: Cycling 60KMs

Day 10. 173kilo
This is a fairly tough day of cycling given the road conditions and the numerous short but steep climbs. Again, a beautiful day of cycling deep in the Dibang valley. One would notice the frequency of’ Mithu’, gates increasing. The Idu Mishmi people by custom consider the ‘Mithun’ as their wealth and the stature of a family is determined sometimes by the number of ‘Mithuns’ owned.
Accommodation: Camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Activity Distance: Cycling 45KMs

Day 11. Amboli
Another beautiful yet tough day, with most of this day spent riding along the Dibang and the Dri Rivers. Numerous small landslides with gravel make it a fairly tough going. Today the climbs get longer than the previous day and coupled with the road conditions it makes for probably the most challenging day of the entire ride.
Accommodation: Camping
Meals: Breakfast, Lunch, Dinner
Activity Distance: Cycling 50KMs

Day 12. Acheso Valley
The last day of cycling starts with a short but again one constant climb all the way till Anini. The road conditions are better than the previous days making it an easier climb in comparison.
