Agra

Agra stood as a proud capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century and it is home to one of the most precious jewels of the country’s crown, the Taj Mahal which makes Agra one of the most important tourist destinations in India. Agra is two and a half hours’ drive (200 km) from Delhi, situated in the northern part of India in the state of Uttar Pradesh. Apart from the Taj Mahal, Agra is blessed with beautiful architecture, forts, monuments, mosques, temples and palaces. The city itself including the houses and the buildings are intricately and artistically designed to adorn the city. This city is steeped in history and breathtaking architecture. It is a city with rich cultural, architectural, historical and religious regard. Agra has three UNESCO World Heritage sites which are the Taj Mahal, Agra Fort and Fatehpur Sikri.
