Agra stood as a proud capital of the Mughal Empire in the 16th century and it is home to one of the most precious jewels of the country’s crown, the Taj Mahal which makes Agra one of the most important tourist destinations in India. Agra is two and a half hours’ drive (200 km) from Delhi, situated in the northern part of India in the state of Uttar Pradesh.
