Day 1 & 2: Fort Kochi
A one hour transfer from the airport takes you to Fort Cochin. The rest of your time is to rest – beat jet lag and get set for your cycling adventure in the next few days. Cochin is the cosmopolitan centre of Kerala. Your hotel is of the boutique kind and one among the very few in the colonial and heritage town of Fort Kochi. Some of the best spots in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry (the more historical hub) include the Dutch palace, the Jew Synagogue, St Francis’ Church, Dutch Cemetery, Chinese Fishing nets, Santa Cruz Cathedral and so on. The old world charm infused with the numerous spice markets, antique shops and art galleries will amaze you. On day 2 you will start your venture with yoga in the morning. After the breakfast you will select the cycles and go for small sightseeing at Fort Cochin. Evening we will take you to show our traditional cultural performance call Kathakali.
Day 3: Thattekad
Leaving fort Kochi early we surprise you to a spot north-east, a hamlet referred to as ‘Cherukunnam’. This little village is interspersed with canals in all directions. We bike along such a canal bund roads amid lush inexperienced paddy fields, numerous coconut bushes and lonely villages main you to the Idamalayar forests. The Idamalayar forests and the Thattekad fowl Sanctuary are famed for the numerous species of birds. The birds, the air and the calm breeze boost and rejuvenate your body & thoughts. Cease your day with Kayaking at the longest river in Kerala accompanied via plantation walks.
Day 4: Munnar
Today after an early breakfast, we prompt biking along the Periyar riverbank and via dense low altitude forests of Neriyamanagalam towards Munnar, a hill town famed for its widespread swathes of tea plantations. The view is first-rate as we climb as much as this cool and scenic hill station. As we cycle, we encounter rubber estates, pepper estates, cardamom estates and subsequently tea plantations. Munnar set amidst dramatic mountain surroundings and a number of the arena’s highest tea plantations was the favorite summer destination of the British.
Day 5: Meesapulima Trek Rhodo Valley
We can leave the inn after an early breakfast and will pressure you closer to Silent Valley, the trek start point. Our first day of the trek takes us to Meesapulima, at 2640m – the second highest top inside the Western Ghats. We start the trek from an altitude of 1500 m gradually goes to over 2600m, passing thru shola woodland and grasslands which are regular to the higher areas of the Western Ghats. The area is also regarded for its wildlife – drastically Elephants, Sambar, Sloth endure and the Nilgiri tahr. We halt for a while on pinnacle of Meesapulima, to enjoy the panoramic views. We trek down to Rhodo Valley for overnight stay.
Day6: Yellapatti Munnar
Witness the spectacular sunrise from the Rhodo valley with the cool mountain breeze. The Valley of Rhododendrons in between the Shola forest will give you a heavenly experience of stay. After the breakfast we will start the trek from the mansion and we will head further into the woods to Yellapatti. Walking through the Shola Forest and Grasslands you can get many astonishing view of the Western Ghats.
Day 7: Periyar Tiger Reserve
We resume our cycling along wonderful mountain roads towards the famed Periyar Tiger Reserve.Periyar is one of the best managed wildlife reserves in India and has large herds of Asiatic elephants, Indian Bison as well as Tigers. Our ride today is a possibly one of the most exciting. The terrain is undulating and there are a couple of good climbs to surmount. We pass through forests, cardamom estates and spice gardens before reaching Periyar.
Day 8: Vagamon
An absolutely stunning day and a fantastic highlight. From Periyar we will head to Vagamon – the sleepy town with its scenic valleys, beautiful green meadows, enchanting pine forests, mists, fogs, tea estates, waterfalls with the overall greenery is really striking. The route is consist of a perfect mountain biking country with a great scenic view that consists of small spice growing hamlets dotting the landscape and undulating roads through tea estates and forests. Your destination is a resort set amidst the tea estates and a quiet retreat after a hard day of cycling.
Day 9: Alleppey
And finally all the way down to the plains. We can cycle downhill thru the rubber estates all of the manner to Erattupetta. After a short tea spoil we are able to keep biking in the direction of the backwater vacation spot at Alleppey. You’ll cycle pass through paddy fields grazed via ducks, floating markets, nearby toddy shops, temples and church buildings. In a single day stay at the backwater hotel.
Day 10: Nedumudy
Nowadays we’re beginning our kayaking adventure through the backwater villages. You’ll begin moving via the backwaters, traversing the inlets, and breathing within the tranquility and calm of the rustic backwaters. The close interplay with the locals residing inside the location and their day by day lives will fascinate you. Once the day draws to a near, you’ll be staying to a cozy motel on an island nestled amidst the lovely backwaters.
Day 11: Muhamma
These days, you’ll start the day after a conventional breakfast served in an ancestral home on the backwaters. As you circulate alongside the waters, it will make you apprehend why this region attracts in so many tourists every season. After having lunch inside the afternoon, you will be taken to the beautiful resort where you may relax.
Day 12: Marari Beach
Nowadays we can switch to Mararikulam – a fishing village by way of the seaside. In truth it’s miles rated as one of the international’s pinnacle 5 Hammock beaches by national Geography. Day 13: Depart
