DAY 1 & 2 Fortkochi
On Arrival at the airport, you will be greeted by our representative and will be transferred to your hotel at Fort Kochi. Cochin is the cosmopolitan center of Kerala. The colonial and heritage town of Fort Kochi is more lively and fun than the commercial city. Some of the best spots in Fort Kochi and Mattancherry (the more historical hub) include the Dutch palace, the Jew Synagogue, St Francis’ Church, Dutch Cemetery, Chinese Fishing nets, Santa Cruz Cathedral and so on. The old world charm infused with the numerous spice markets, antique shops and art galleries will amaze you. Evening we will enjoy the traditional cultural dance performance. On day 2 After breakfast transfer to Kadmakkudi, a picturesque village renowned for its serene backwaters. After a safety instruction by the kayaking guide starts paddle through the tranquil backwaters, observing local wildlife and picturesque landscapes. After a picnic lunch back to Fort Kochi we can go sightseeing, including the Dutch palace, the Jew Synagogue, St Francis’ Church, Dutch Cemetery, Chinese Fishing nets, Santa Cruz Cathedral and so on. Evening enjoy a Kathakali performance, a traditional dance-drama known for its elaborate costumes and expressive storytelling.
DAY 3 Thattekkad
Embark on a thrilling full-day kayaking adventure along the banks of the Periyar River, Thattekkadu offers an idyllic setting for a day of exploration and natural beauty. Set off on your kayaking journey, gliding through the calm, clear waters. Enjoy the tranquil surroundings as you paddle past verdant forests, observing the vibrant flora and fauna that call this area home. Keep an eye out for local wildlife, including exotic birds and playful river otters. Take a break on a scenic riverside spot. Stretch your legs and savor a light snack and refreshments provided by your guide. Stop for a delicious picnic lunch by the riverbank. Enjoy a meal surrounded by nature, taking in the peaceful ambiance of the area. After the delicious lunch paddle through serene stretches, and if you're lucky, you might catch glimpses of rare bird species or the occasional deer along the riverbanks. A full-day kayaking trip in Thattekkadu promises an unforgettable experience filled with natural beauty, wildlife encounters, and the thrill of exploring one of Kerala’s most scenic and serene locations.
DAY 4 & 5 Munnar
Explore the breathtaking beauty of Munnar, a hill station renowned for its lush green landscapes, tea gardens, and cool climate. Munnar is a picturesque hill station located in the Western Ghats of Kerala, India. Munnar is famously known as the "Kashmir of South India" and is especially renowned for its expansive tea estates. The British began cultivating tea here in the late 19th century. On day 5 Experience the charm of Munnar’s tea estates on a guided tea plantation walk, where you’ll gain insight into the tea-making process and immerse yourself in the picturesque landscape. Embark on a guided walk through the tea fields. Learn about the different types of tea grown, see the plucking process, and enjoy the refreshing aroma of the tea leaves. The walk will offer stunning views of the rolling tea hills and lush greenery.
DAY 6 Alleppey
Discover the serene beauty of Alleppey, also known as Alappuzha, on a day of kayaking through its intricate network of backwaters. Often referred to as the "Venice of the East," Alleppey is renowned for its tranquil waterways, lush landscapes, and vibrant local life. After breakfast we will be transferred to your hotel at Alleppey. After lunch paddle through calm, picturesque canals flanked by lush greenery and traditional Kerala-style houses. Explore the narrow waterways that wind through the scenic countryside. Enjoy the peaceful environment as you pass by charming village homes, paddy fields, and vibrant flora. Observe local life, including traditional fishing techniques and daily routines.
DAY 7 Kainakiri
Kainakiri is a picturesque location perfect for kayaking, especially if you enjoy exploring serene waterways and natural beauty. You start your day early, arriving at the designated kayak launch point in Kainakiri. The area is surrounded by lush greenery, with a gentle mist still lingering in the cool morning air. After breakfast you get fitted with your life jacket and paddles, and launch your kayak into the calm, reflective waters. After a couple of hours of paddling, we will stop at a picturesque spot to take a lunch break. you can stretch your legs and enjoy your picnic lunch. Post-lunch, you resume your journey, towards your backwater resort.
DAY 8 Nedumudi
Nedumudy, a charming village located in the Alappuzha district of Kerala, India, offers a unique and serene experience amid lush backwaters and vibrant local culture. The air is filled with the rich aroma of the surrounding vegetation and the faint sounds of local life. After breakfast start kayaking as you embark on your kayaking adventure, you glide onto the calm, reflective waters of the backwaters. The early morning light creates a serene ambiance, and the waters are typically still and smooth. You start by paddling through the interconnected canals, with lush green coconut palms and traditional Kerala-style houses lining the banks. Local fishermen casting their nets, and traditional houseboats may glide by, adding to the picturesque scene. Around midday, you could reach your location, a 150 year old tradition home. You will have the traditional lunch at the homestay and relax at the beautiful property with families.
DAY 9 & 10 Marari Beach
After late breakfast, we engage in a traditional Coir (coconut fiber) making session with a local artisan. We make our way to Mararikulam, a charming fishing village nestled by the beach. Renowned as one of the world’s top five hammock beaches by National Geographic, Marari Beach offers a serene setting amid coconut groves and azure waters. The beach features golden sands and swaying palm trees, providing a picturesque setting perfect for leisurely walks and sunbathing. Experience the laid-back lifestyle of the local fishing community, and enjoy fresh seafood delicacies and traditional Kerala cuisine.
DAY 11 Departure
After enjoying a delicious breakfast at the hotel, you will be transferred to the airport in Kochi.
